“Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver” 2 Corinthians 9 v7
Dear Church Member,
Firstly, thank you for your interest in our Giving Pack
It is an encouragement to us all on the St Paul’s team that you are thinking of supporting us as we seek to develop our activities and meet our mission objectives to connect transform serve
. Please see the enclosed 2018/19 Review
for more information about the many activities we have undertaken during the past year.
Giving is much more than providing financial support, although it is that as well. It can be serving in the church and spreading the message of the gospel both to the local community and well beyond. There are many ways you can serve
, depending on your gifting.
It is also about supporting the church financially and being part of the St Paul’s community. This Giving Pack explains how you can give to the church so we can provide a wide range of activities on site, reach out into our local and national communities, and support mission partners both at home and overseas.
Christians often tithe and we would encourage you to do so, using the Old Testament principle of giving 10% of your income as a guide. Of course, in these difficult economic times you may wish to start at a lower level and you may already be committed to supporting other good causes. Be assured that your gift will be welcome, whatever its size.
Many at St Paul’s commit to regular giving by setting up a Standing Order to make regular payments on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis depending on their particular circumstances. Click here for a Bankers Order Form
, and if you qualify for Gift Aid then you can add a further 25% to your donations at no extra cost. Click here for a Gift Aid Declaration Form
which explains the process.
Please do let me know if I can assist you in any way as you consider giving to St Paul’s. Either email me at email@example.com
, call me on 07976 815385
to have a chat, or drop a letter marked Private and Confidential into the Office post box in the foyer addressed to the Chair of Finance.
