Following a meeting of those wanting to shape an evening worshipping community during lockdown we are going to trial a new form of gathering that draws on the opportunities that being on Zoom gives. The overriding consensus was the desire to learn, grow and have fellowship in small groups – whilst still having the opportunity to welcome those new to the evening gathering and giving the opportunity for all to participate.
This is summed up in three values:
We choose to belong
We choose to participate
We choose to grow
These values describe the desire of those gathered to be active rather than passive – and to that end we are really encouraging all to join us on zoom and to participate, commit and build a community where friendships will grow and lay the foundations for the time when we can return to the church building.
The gathering will start at 6pm on the Sunday Worship Zoom and will include worship brought from the community, small group discussion, a short practical talk and time for prayer – it will be about an hour in length. You can also join the first part of our gathering on YouTube, although broadcasting will stop when we start discussion groups. You are welcome to join us on Zoom at that point so that you can participate in that discussion.
