Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on us! Heal our wounds, give us sight, and gift us with faith in you afresh.

Reflect
Imagine a father standing at the edge of a swimming pool, his arms stretched out as his young daughter stands hesitantly on the edge. “Jump,” he encourages, and after a brief moment of uncertainty, she leaps into his arms, laughing as he caught her. She didn’t pause to calculate his strength or demand proof that he wouldn’t let her drown—she just trusted him.
This is the kind of faith Jesus points to when He welcomes the little children. They come without pretension, without trying to earn a place, simply trusting in the one who calls them. Then Jesus turns to the rich ruler—a man who had spent his life accumulating status, wealth, and security. Unlike the children, he hesitates when Jesus asks him to trust, to let go, to follow.
We often live like the rich ruler, holding tightly to what makes us feel safe, measuring our worth by what we have or achieve. But Jesus says the kingdom belongs to those who, like children, leap into His arms without fear. The question is—are we willing to jump?
Be
Take a moment to sit in silence. Imagine yourself as a small child coming to Jesus. How does He welcome you? What do you need to let go of to receive His love more fully?
Pray this simple prayer:
"Lord, I come to you as I am, with nothing to offer but my trust.
Help me to receive your kingdom with childlike faith."
Become
Ask Jesus to show you where you are holding on too tightly—whether it’s possessions, control, or self-sufficiency.
Pray: "Jesus, help me to trust you more than my own strength. Teach me to depend on you completely."
Do
Pray for those who struggle to let go of worldly security to follow Jesus. Ask for a fresh revelation of His love for them.
Practice
Spend part of today practicing childlike faith. Approach a situation without cynicism, embrace joy in a small thing, or pray with simple trust, knowing that your Father hears you.
